Safari Holidays, Lodges, Camps and
Beach Holidays in Tanzania
Tanzania provides the opportunity of combining a safari holiday with a superb beach holiday in the Tanzanian Islands around Zanzibar.
The name Tanzania comes from a combination of Tanganyika and Zanzibar, created after the two countries were united in March 1964 and a blue band representing the sea was added to the original Tanganyika flag as it appears today.
The population of Tanzania, estimated to be over thirty-three million, is made up of 120 tribes who all live harmoniously together speaking their common language of Swahili. They are warm, friendly and welcoming to all visitors in their country.
The vast and diverse number of National Parks and Game Reserves are Tanzania’s most precious natural resource, and is the reason why Tanzania is becoming increasingly popular to foreign visitors, the jewels in the crown being The Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and of course the mighty Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.
